摘要

In the increasingly competitive global economy, productivity growth and quality are essential for maintaining and advancing economic opportunities for individuals and societies. As the system performance itself is a function of the aggregation of the individual worker performance it is essential that ways are found to improve it. The purpose of this article is to illustrate the connection between the system performance measures, such as productivity and quality, with individual performance measures in order to identify those factors which shape individual performance. Further, this article is intended to illustrate the role of ergonomics in improving the individuals' performance and thereby enhancing the overall system performance.
