This paper describes two current ITS applications initiatives inrnThailand. First, it describes the increasing awareness, by thernresidents of Bangkok, of the effects of pollution and how this hasrnlead to a change in emphasis for transport control. There is now arnclear desire to provide a transport system, which will meet futurerndemand and relieve the chronic problems of congestion and airrnpollution within the city.
