Vehicle Autonomous Navigation System (VANS) is an effective means tornprovide driving guidance for the driver who is driving on the roadsrnwith complex and congested traffic situations or is not familiar withrnsuch situations of the roads. As we know, the combination of the GPSrnsignal and electronic map can induce intolerable errors. Though thernpositioning accuracy can be improved through the Difference GPS(DGPS),rnin some areas, especially most areas in our country, it is notrnconvenient to obtain the difference signal. So the complementation ofrnvehicle autonomous navigation without DGPS is very important. Throughrnlong period of research and practice, the author proposed thernsolution to the technology of the vehicle autonomous navigation,rnincluding the fast map positioning and road positioning. And thernproposed method is supported by experiments.
