摘要

Several numerical investigations in the sub- and supersonic flowfield around space configurations are presented. Turbulent flow was simulated for subsonic boundary conditions in the case of the space plane configuration ELAC as well as laminar supersonic flow for the upper stage EOS. The third configuration is a two-stage system consisting of EOS mounted on ELAC. The numerical results are obtained by solving the Navier-Stokes equations using a finite-volume integration scheme based on node-centered block-structured grids in curvilinear coordinates. For the turbulent flows the Baldwin-Lomax model was used without further assumptions of the transition, i. e. , the flow was assumed fully turbulent. The results presented are computed at different Mach numbers and angles of attack. They include findings for the wall pressure, wall streamlines and lift coefficients. The numerical data of the present investigation is compared with experimental data from different facilities. The comparison shows satisfactory agreement.
