摘要

The substitution of manganese ions for the lattice Fe~(3+) ions in goethite (α-FeOOH) contributes to a preferential removal of Pb~(II) from low-pH solutions. This effect was enhanced by the excess addition of manganese nitrate in the synthetic process for Mn-incorporated goethite particles. This enhancement was caused by the formation of the specific surface sites for the selective adsorption of Pb~(II).
