In resent years, as the real estate market grows rapidly and the features of the traditional tourism change, the tourism real estate, being occupied during the leisure time and vacation, has become the hot spot concerned by both the real estate and the tourism industry. But can tourism real estate grow into an independent industry? If it can, what is the theoretical basis? These questions are seldom discussed in the academic fields. This paper, starting with the descriptions of the concepts and features of the tourism real estate, introduces the current developments of the real estate and the tourism industries in China, and analyzes the formation of the tourism real estate industry based on the tillering theory with the considerations of the internal condition (the rapid economic development) and the external environment (economic globalization).
