摘要

Low smoke non-halogen optical fiber cords for interconnect and cross-connect applications have been developed because of the increase for environmental concerns. New optical fiber cords has excellent flame retardancy and low smoke properties in the 2.0mm diameter size, which satisfies the riser test (the UL1666) and the 3m cube smoke density test (the IEC61034). In this development, the optimum design of non-halogen flame retardant materials has been clarified.
