摘要

This paper deals with the possibility of receiving radio on the mobile through a direct link with non-geostationary satellite. A frequency in Ka-band is chosen by all the satellites of the constellation to broadcast the radio. Each radio station is identified with a CDMA code and transmitted to the mobile terminal on the selected frequency. The mobile, tuned always to this fixed frequency, will demodulate the desired radio channel using its respective CDMA code. To give the necessary support to the idea, a theoretical analysis of the different communication requirements is performed in this paper. The viability of the service is inferred from the calculations made on link budget, which gives a final definition of the structure and system characteristics that will support this service.
