摘要

The paper presents results of room temperature impact tests performed on the series of tungsten heavy alloy specimens representative of "as sintered state" and after cold work typical of industrial practice. The results were correlated with microstructural features and characteristics of fracture surfaces. Microstructural investigations were carried out using standard metalografic techniques. The quantitative description of the microstructure included: the tungsten particle size and elongation and contiguity coefficient. The Vickers microhardness measurements for W particles and matrix were also conducted.
