Because of the advancements of technologies of Global Position System (GPS) and the progressing of measuring accuracy of Inertia Navigation System(INS), the system composed of GPS and INS is used to ascertain the navigation and its measuring result is regarded as the sole benchmark of measuring in the seaborne instruments. With the development of the modern times technologies of measuring, the seaborne instruments must be able to offer accuracy information on its navigation and pose. But the seaborne inertia navigation system can only offer the low accuracy navigation deviation information that often is 6' , and the information can not meet the measuring requirement. This paper discusses a new method that use the measuring star of theodolite to calibrate the navigation deviation. With the star's position in theory being offered and the high measuring accuracy of theodolite, this method can get very accuracy navigation deviation after it transforms the measuring star's data of theodolite in coordinates and deal with the data of star's position value in theory. This paper show the computing method about the star's position value in theory ,and the theory about calibrating navigation by the theodolite measuring star that is proved to be viable in theory. Experiments show that the navigation deviation is 1' by the measuring of five stars, this method can meet the fact requirement and effective and viable in applications.
