摘要

The condensing water in sugar factory gets contaminated due to the entrainment taking place during evaporation and boiling under uacuum. It is necessary to give more attention to the entrainment to avoid loss of sugar, corrosion of pipe lines, pumps, condensers etc and use of chemicals to neutralize the condensing water. A computer based system for entrainment detection and monitoring has been developed and field tried. The results obtained are very satisfactory.
