Field experiments were conducted at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore to study the effect of soil and foliar application of K on quality parameters of sugarcane like juice brix, sucrose, purity co-efficient, commercial cane sugar and sugar yield. Three cane crops were raised. The trial was laid out in split plot design, replicated thrice. The irrigation regimes were accommodated in the main plots and these treatments were super imposed with soil and foliar application of K levels. Results revealed that juice quality was influenced by irrigation levels. Irrigation scheduled at 0.75 IW/CPE ratio during tillering and grand growth period (I_1) improved the quality attributes like total solids per cent (brix), sucrose per cent and purity co-efficient by more than one unit (about 10 per cent) over other irrigation regimes. K levels (soil application of 168 kg K_2O ha~(-1) or 112 kg K_2O ha~(-1) through soil, in addition to 2.5 per cent foliar spray at 45,75 and 105 DP) affected juice quality in terms of brix readings, sucrose percent, purity co-efficient and commercial cane sugar.
