In some particular situations, such as in the dark or in emergency, hand movements are not totally controlled by visual feedback. In such situations, the type of hand blind positioning movement is usually used to reach for a control-device. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the accuracy of hand blind positioning movement on work surface. This study tested a total of 60 university students (30 males and 30 females). The main findings of this study are: (1) The difference of accuracies of blind positioning movement between left hand and right hand is significant for females but is not significant for males; (2) With fixed angle,the right hand has better the accuracy of blind positioning than the left hand; however, with fixed distance, the left hand performs better; (3) The right hand has superiority on the accuracy of blind positioning when the moving distance is longer, but the left hand has superiority when the moving distance is shorter; (4) The angle of 0-degree has superiority on the accuracy of blind positioning than that of angle of 30-degree when the moving distance is shorter, but the angle of 30-degree has superiority when the moving distance is longer.
