This paper aims to examine the effects of belt(with and without) ,orientation(0° and 45°), and height shift(Floor to 75 cm(F-75) and 75 cm~125 cm(75~125))°on the capability of the maximum acceptable weight of one-lift(MAWL-l) determined by psychophysical method. Ten young male subjects (mean age= 19.6 yr.) participated in this study. The ANOVA result indicated that orientation effect, and belt* shift were highly significant(P<0.05).Lifting symmetrically(30.4 kg) is generally better than asymmetrically(28. 8 kg, about 92% of symmetrically) ,and it is regardless of shift and belt effects. Pronounced belt * shift interaction reveals that MAWL-1 of F-75 lifting with belt(32. 9 kg) is superior to without belt(27.8 kg),contrary result is found for 75 ~ 125 lifting(with belt = 27.6 kg; without belt = 32.1 kg).
