Currently, social tagging system mining has gradually become popularly used for Web 2.0 applications and services. Due to a lack of an effective user tag recommendation system for large-scale Chinese blog, how to automatically generate proper tags for a blog is a challenging issue. This paper approaches the problem by designing and developing a system to automatically generate tags and tag cloud for a Chinese blog. After text segmentation, keywords extraction and tag generation, this system calculates the top weight keyphrases as recommended tags and shows a tag cloud. According to the time charts of user tag in the special domain, we can find and track hot events and analyze the reasons for the changes.
