Local behaviour of timber-concrete connecting systems represents a necessary step to predict the global behaviour of timber-concrete composite structures. A scientific collaboration between INSA (Lyon) and HILTI (Liechtenstein) had led to the design and examination of a new timber-concrete connector. The first part of this project was accomplished, and it consisted on making a series of push out and pull out tests followed by numerical simulations. The aim of this work was to create a connector that provides interesting mechanical performances. Three-dimensional finite element simulations were carried out to observe the stress redistribution in the constitutive elements of the connection, at different loading levels. The second step consisted on testing the long term behaviour of a timber concrete slab with the same connector.
