The long span and large scale timber structures as well as wooden houses are requested to promote the wood demand. In the situation, the national research and development on the hybrid timber structural system started two years ago by Building Research Institute and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Japan. This study is included in the national project mentioned above. In this study, connecting system between reinforced concrete and timber is researched. In this study, the shear strength of glued-in rod connection using deformed steel bar or metal connector was investigated by full scale loading tests. 36 specimens including 12 series were tested. The parameters in this test are two kinds of connecting rod (metal connector and deformed steel bar) and two kinds of the length of connecting rod. From test results, the shear strength of the connection rises up in proportion to the length and number of embedded glued-in rods. The ultimate shear strength and deformation capacity of the connection by deformed bar are higher than that of the connection using other metal connector.
