This is a playful introduction to binary numbers, which can be used in an "Introduction to Computer Science" or CS0 course. While there is no formal assessment of this demonstration's effectiveness, students seem to understand binary numbers well and are comfortable applying this knowledge when converting them to other bases. In addition, the interaction and increase in energy level resulting from the demonstration translates to a fruitful follow-up discussion.
