The ionic conduction behaviors of LiAlO_2-based solid solutions, Li_(1+x)AI_(1-x)Mg_xO_2, Li_(1-x)Al_(1-x) (Si or Ge)_xO_2 were investigated. In Mg-added samples, the conductivity decreased with increasing x. Si-or Ge-doping enhanced the conductivity. The activation energy increased by Mg-doping, whereas it showed no changes in Si or Ge doped solutions. The influence of the ionic size of doped cations on the conductivity was very small. Electrochemical experiments revealed that the dominant conductive carriers in these oxides were lithium ions.
