Technology is pointless if nobody buy's it. No matter how advanced the science involved or how great the benefits to mankind, the law of economics dictates that an "investments" in technology must make a "return". The law of economics can't be ignored. It's rather like the law of gravity. Both laws are ever valid. No matter how hard you try, in the end they will bring you down if you don't reckon with them properly.
