Spunbond is a kind of nonwoven production technology, which combines the spinning, drawing and bonding technology of thermoplastic polymer. It has many distinguishing features such as short process, high efficiency, low cost and the widespread application of its productions. Since the commercialization of Dupont U.S.A and Freudenberg Europe in 1960s, it has developed rapidly. Now, spunbond has become the second nonwoven production whose output has reached 800,000 tons per year. Now "Spenbond" including meltblow (MB) and spunbond-meltblow-spunbond (SMS, SMMS,) etc. in the world; the whole output already over 1,000,000 tons constitutes 40% of the general output of the world.
