In this paper, a hybrid simulation model for distillation in structured packing columns is introduced. A key feature of the model is the consideration that mass transfer is in non equilibrium state while heat transfer in thermodynamic equilibrium state. Comparison of the model prediction and experimental observation shows a good agreement.
