The paper presents three different nested logit models that describe the combined choice ofdestination, transport mode and parking. The first model covers all shopping trips, the secondmodel only covers daily shopping trips, and the third model only covers non-daily shoppingtrips. All models are derived from stated choice data collected in Veldhoven and Eindhoven,two cities in the South of the Netherlands.The structure of the best fitting model can be described as mode choice (top level), destinationchoice, and choice of parking facilities/bike stands (lowest level). All estimated modelsoutperform the model with parameters equal to zero. The estimation results show that ingeneral, the supply of shops (for destination choice), the travel time of bike (for mode choice),the parking costs (for parking choice) and the storage costs (for bike stand choice) are themost important attributes. Some differences in relative importance of attributes between dailyand non-daily shopping were found.
