摘要

The aim of catalysis science in the 21st Century is the development of catalyst systems that exhibit 100% selectivity toward the desired product. Two-dimensional model catalysts are fabricated by electron beam lithography and size-reduction photolithography with precise control of metal catalyst nanoparticle size, surface structure, location and oxide-metal interface. 3-dimensional platinum nanoparticle catalyst systems are being developed as well to achieve high surface area and precise control of all of the structural parameters.
