There are two oil and gas pipelines in ZGBX offshore oilfield. One is oil and waterrncombined pipeline with a DN200 flow line inside a DN350 insulating layer. Thernother is a gas transmission pipeline with a DN300, which is coated with concrete.rnWith the planning and construction of the development projects of the coastalrnindustrial district in this oilfield, the sea area where the pipelines pass through andrnthe water depth is less than 6m would be occupied, which makes the safe running ofrnthe pipelines face a great challenge. This requires that the route of the pipelines mustrnbe altered. Based on the comparison and analysis between the non-stop pluggingrntechnique with disc and expansive cylinder, the latter was chosen after arncomprehensive consideration of various factors. And then an non-stop pluggingrnscheme of the oil and gas pipelines located at two points which are 6.8km apart at thernsame time was proposed, which includes the following major procedures such asrnconstruction preparation, welding under pressure, opening hole on pipe, cuttingrnbleeding balance hole, pipeline plugging, connecting the pipe heads, removing thernplugging and so on. The results show that the alteration scheme of the oil and gasrnpipelines with non-stop plugging technique in ZGBX offshore oil field is correct andrnreasonable, and the plugging technique with expansive cylinder is safe and reliable.rnThe experience and method of this alteration project can be referred by other similarrnpipelines.
