The paper presents results of a series of multi-stage stress path controlled triaxial tests on reconstituted and natural Murro clay from Finland. The tests are simulated with two recently proposed constitutive models, S-CLAY1 and S-CLAY1S. For comparison, the tests on reconstituted samples are also simulated with the Modified Cam Clay model. The results show excellent agreement with the S-CLAY1 model. For natural samples accounting bonding and destructuration, as done in S-CLAY1S, improves the results further. Overall, the results show the importance of modelling anisotropy of both natural and reconstituted clays.
