Neural delays are pervasive in the computations associated with brain functions. For adaptive behaviors, these delays must be compensated. The present study investigates a dynamical routing scheme which compensates the transmission delay of neural signals from retina to visual cortex. The scheme utilizes prior information of a moving stimulus and predicts the future position the stimulus will travel to after the delay period. We find that over a large range of speed, the routing scheme can compensate neural delays successfully.
