The article deals with the measures implemented in the company to overcoming the financial crisis. The article defined the basic terms related to crises. The basic crisis categories are defined and the development of the crisis categories in recent 20 years according to Institute for crisis management is presented. The article also presents selected results of the empirical survey. This survey was aimed to evaluate the importance of measures to overcome the crisis in the Czech firms.
