摘要

This paper proposes a new estimation model of global solar irradiation for Brasov urban area. This model is based on the modelling of the clearness index factor. The proposed model estimates the global solar irradiation for clear sky conditions. Considering the adopted model, finally, a comparative study is presented: measured versus estimated solar irradiation values. Model performance was analyzed using the root mean square error (RMSE), the mean bias error (MBE) and the t-statistic. According to our results, the model fitted the data adequately and can be used to estimate the daily global solar irradiation under clear sky conditions.
