摘要

During the pathfinder program, a part time inspector at CCAD/SAFR entered over 1200 inspections into the ScoreCard data sheets. Photographs and detailed descriptions of damaged parts were very useful in determining the root cause for part removal and characterizing the damage typically found in these parts. In addition, the data showed how many parts were being removed for the same or similar causes. A cost benefit analysis on repairing these parts and returning them to service could be easily performed using this data. It was soon recognized that the ScoreCard database originally established using MS Access was quickly growing into an unmanageable size and was not a user-friendly platform for AED engineers. A decision was therefore made to integrate the ScoreCard data into the more robust and user friendly RIMFIRE database as soon as sufficient funding was available.
