As it is known the rolling in box passes system has a great influence on rolling billets. That is why the optimization of rolling in box passes is the actual problem need to be solved. In given work for deflected mode researching the modeling of rolling in box passes was done. The proposed mathematical model is based on phenomenological description of plasticity criterion. By Kolmogorov as a plasticity criterion was used shear deformation degree (A_σ). For rolling in box passes optimization were chosen such parameters as reduced rolls diameter (D~*/H_1), thickness reduction coefficient (H_0/H_1), initial relation of strip axes (H_0/B_0), (Bc - B_0)/H_1) and literal surface coordinates (z'/h). In the course of modeling the regression equation which characterizes the influence of chose parameters on A_σ was received. The received model forecasts shear deformation and can be used at roll pass design and draughting schedule choosing.
