Effect of Deformation Parameters on Austenite Transformation and Microstnicture

The effects of heating temperature, single pass deformation and two pass deformation on austenite transformation were investigated through thermal simulation experiments. The results have shown that the temperature of austenite transformation decreases with the increase of heating temperature and increases with the strain of single pass deformation. The influence of two pass deformation on austenite transformation is less than that of single pass deformation for the condition of same strain because of the static recrystallization between two passes. The samples were cooled down to room temperature at different cooling rates and the microstnicture of each sample was observed by microscopy. The CCT diagram for the studied steel was plotted according to the microstructures and transformation temperatures.
