A rotor state feedback controller was designed for the UH-60A in hovering and low-speed flight. The controllerrnprovides ACAH control in pitch and roll. The controller architecture is structured so that the RSF control law isrndesigned independently from the rate and attitude loops, and the RSF controller can readily revert to a basic implicitrnmodel following control law if the rotor sensors fail. The RSF controller was tested using a non-linear simulationrnmodel and was compared to an equivalent baseline controller for various controller bandwidths. The RSF controllerrnwas found to be able to provide somewhat higher bandwidth in the roll axis (based on the ADS-33 bandwidthrnspecification). However, the command tracking performance was substantially improved and the RSF controllerrnprovided better disturbance rejection. The RSF controller was also effective for constraining hub moments to ensurernstructural load limits are not violated when using high bandwidth control.
