摘要

Component modal synthesis technique is a method to enhance the computation efficiency of finite element analysis (FEA). Firstly, the formula of vibration power calculation using component mode synthesis (CMS) was deduced, and then a calculation example using the CMS of NASTRAN was given. Finite element model size, calculation precision and calculation time were compared between the direct method and the CMS method. It was found that vibration power flow calculation using the CMS of NASTRAN could achieve high calculation precision if the proper type of component and enough modals are chose in the modal synthesis. At last an isolation system optimization using the new software Isight was given. Because computation time is greatly saved in FEA, the optimization efficiency was greatly elevated.
