The use of quantile-quantile (Q-Q) plots for comparing life data is illustrated. Their advantage -easy to construct; graphical; distribution-free - are explained. A perfect association between two data sets will be evidenced by a linear fit of the Q-Q data through the origin, with slope of 1.0. A Monte Carlo simulation study was conducted to investigate the performance of regression statistics for assessing fit.
