This paper addresses problematical situations and why things go wrong in the first place. It introduces "The TASK Paradigm" which is a model for identifying the four dimensions Tools, Attitude, Skills, and Knowledge, which first letters make up the acronym for TASK of this proactive process. In order to appraise a situation and perform a task effectively, we must possess these dimensions interactively. Each one of the dimensions are sub-divided into specific components that make-up the foundation for its application effectiveness. The "Tool" dimension is characterized by the infrastructure technology, time, authority and communication components. Each one is explored in detail. The "attitude" dimension is characterized by the "Attitude Continuum Scale," while the "Skills" dimension is sub-divided into people skills, job design skills, and cognizance skills. "Knowledge" is identified as values and abilities to perform a task in a consistent manner by applying several psychosocial and intrinsic methodologies. Without these four dimensions efficiently and effectively applied, we place strong limitations on our success of performing the task to a positive and consistent outcome, and we expose ourselves to Murphy's Law - "If anything can go wrong it will." This is a paper that opposes "Murphy's Law" and contends, "If anything can go wrong, it shouldn't."
