Engineers, technicians, and food scientists have continually sought to safeguard food'srnwholesomeness. While technology has made significant contributions to this end, it will have tornmake even greater strides in the future. Concerns for the environment, energy conservation and foodrnsafety now drive the technical community. The people of the future need: refrigeration equipmentrnthat is earth friendly both in emissions and energy consumption, cogeneration applications that willrnprovide additional energy and lower cost refrigerated storage facilities that have both a low initialrncost and a technological match with the location's infrastructure. Engineers, scientists andrntechnicians have a pressing mission ahead of them to advance the arts of refrigeration and HVAC inrna way that will benefit both the earth and its inhabitants.
