摘要

In this paper we study the random nature of the device delays present in a distributed control system and it's effects on the control system performance in terms of a performance metric that represent the tracking error of the control system, namely IAE {Integrated Absolute Error). Our study is based on the delay data obtained from devices in Networked Control System (NCS). We then generalize some of the practices involved in making decisions on the selection of sensor devices based on their random delay characteristics, i.e. mean and variance, for a particular control system.
