In this paper, we consider a worst case notion of delay in the scheduling of wireless broadcast channels. For backlogged users and when the channel changes independently from packet to packet, the moments of the delay have been obtained previously. Here we propose a scheme to improve the delay without sacrificing that much on the throughput. We further generalize the result to the case of having multiple antennas at the transmitter. We also study the delay in the presence of temporal correlation in the channel and also the delay degradation due to poisson random arrival for each queue in the system.
