Ergonomists, and other academics, have frequently been accused of not making their results accessible to those who might benefit from them or wish to apply the information. This, for ergonomics, is especially true for the design professions. This paper describes the way in which a multidisciplinary team of ergonomists and designers worked together to consider the in-car safety and security needs of women drivers and their passengers, and focuses on the manner in which dissemination was undertaken.
