摘要

The results of a study on UK ergonomics courses is reported. Course directors were interviewed and a postal questionnaire was used to survey qualified ergonomists. Course directors report on pressure from an number of sources and courses have changed in a variety of ways. The survey results indicate a general level of satisfaction with course content and teaching methods. One area of concern is the poor rating that skills development received. Whilst, with the passage of time, respondents indicate that knowledge gained from their courses is of less use to them, there appears to be a relatively low level of demand for continuing professional development activity.
