摘要

The Perovskite type BaZn1/3Ta2/3O3 (BZT) ceramic filled High density polyethylene (HDPE) composite with different volume fractions (Vf) upto 0.45 were prepared. The effect of filler content on the dielectric properties were studied both at radio and microwave frequencies. As the volume fraction of the filler increased, the relative permittivity (εr) of the composite gradually increased. Different theoretical models were used to predict the relative permittivity of the composite at 1 MHz and it was found that Effective Medium Theory (EMT) was in good agreement with the experimental data. The composite with 0.45 Vf of the filler showed εr = 8.26 and tanδ =6.5×10−4 at 5 GHz.
