TSA (Transportation Security Administration) and USCG (United States Coast Guard) are implementing the TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) program.The USCG is responsible for: enforcing TWIC compliance,providing guidance to assist industry with compliance,conducting spot-check/annual inspections,reviewing and approving security plans,and working with TSA towards successful integration.To improve maritime security and enhance international shipping commerce within US ports in addition to ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code),the program will be working on the maritime field by the October 15,2008 in the United States.In this paper,it is reviewed,investigated and examined the relationship among TWIC,US Port's Security and other security programs.All contents and procedures described in this paper are only at the introduction stage regarding the credential.
