摘要

The analysis and design of an explosion containment vessel (ECV) are discussed in the present paper. Fundamental results on the dynamic response and failure modes of a cylindrical shell under blast loading are presented in order to understand the behavior of a monolithic ECV subjected to internal explosion. The response of a unique ECV, reinforced using flat steel ribbon technique, is demonstrated. This has both economical and engineering advantages such as higher fracture resistance, low cost and is convenient for safety monitoring.
