摘要

Naphtha firing on a continuous basis, use of Naphtha for the first time in Siemens' V94.2, successful project completion and subsequently operating and maintaining the plant has given GTEC an experience which has been unique in more than one ways. Properly addressing the issues during the feasibility, design and engineering stage holds the key to success and subsequent trouble free operation. Project schedule and cost is affected and once again proper estimates are the key to timely completion without overruns. Knowledge about Naphtha, correct operating practices and care during operation and maintenance keeping specifically safety in mind would lead to minimum troubles. Sincere efforts have been made in the details given in this paper to address all the critical and relevant issues and we hope that they would be of value not only for operation and maintenance but also for the upcoming projects or projects under execution. Any doubts, details, questions are most welcome from all the readers and it would also help us in continual improvement.
