The use of VP axial flow fans involves the following advantages: 1. Initial and operating costs related to ID fans can be reduced 2. Blade bearing life for ID fans for CFB boilers can be improved significantly by providing an optimum lubricant and by protecting the bearings from fretting corrosion. 3. Due to a fast reacting hydraulic servo system with little hysteresis VP axial fans can respond very quickly to load changes 4. It is characteristic that no pulsation or instability of the flow is observed over the operating range from zero to maximum flow.
