摘要

6 DOF force and torque analysis of high precision magnetic levitation systems is very helpful in the design phase. [7] It opens the way to mapping of nonlinearities, compensation curves, and feed forward function into the digital controller. We have shown a very simple and low cost design of a 6 DOF force and torque sensor based on a hexapod structure, which makes it easy to adapt to the mechanical requirements. Using that type of sensor makes the correlation of control current and real measured forces clear. It also saves time during the implementation of complex mapping and feed forward algorithms.
