CE Marking is legally required to sell products covered by over twenty European new approach safety directives, such as Medical Devices, Machinery, Simple Pressure Vessels, Toys, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Low Voltage, Telecommunications Terminal Equipment, etc. While the specific requirements for each directive are different, each directive contains two elements: specific product safety requirements used to demonstrate that the directive's essential safety requirements have been satisfied and conformity assessment procedures to assure that a company can maintain consistent quality when it manufactures that safe product.
