Do you remember the story of the Trojan War? If you do, you probably will recognize the warning given by Laocoon when he saw the massive Trojan Horse:" I fear Greeks bearing gifts!" His warning was ignored. The Trojans, thinking this was a peace offering from the Greeks, brought the horse into the city. The Greeks, hiding in the belly of the horse, emerged under cover of night and destroyed the entire Trojan civilization. Imagine how different the outcome might have been if the warning had been stated like this: I fear gifts bearing Greeks!
