摘要

Currently, there are more than 50 Business Process Reengineering (BPR) tools available. The existence of sucha wide variety of BPR software choices can be a major problem to new users when selecting an appropriateBPR package. The primary objective of this research is to identify major BPR software features that supportmissions critical functions. Specifically, the Integrated Definition (IDEF) family of methods is used as the basisbecause it views reengineering as an enterprise perspective. It is also the standard modeling method used bythe United States Military. Therefore, this study should be of value to government project contractors andanalysts involved with the reengineering of legacy systems using the IDEF methodology.
